New Music Awards
The New Music Awards will act as a wrap up to the Festival and is being held on Sunday Sept 19th 2010. The 2010 awards ceremony will feature over 20 different award categories for independent artists Nationally with the exception of the "Best International" category.
The New Music Awards will be ticketed separately from the New Music Fest.
New Music Awards - Artist Eligibility Criteria
• For award nomination, all artists must be 100% Canadian with the exception of the “Best International” category.
• All artists must be independent from any labels with the exception of a distribution deal
• Canadian artists are eligible for all categories
• Artists from outside of Canada may only apply for the “Best International”
• Artists from Ontario between the ages of 12 - 18 are eligible for the “Best Young Songwriters” category
Artists/applicant may select as many award categories in which they feel they may be eligible for.
